Bradley Phifer, CBCC-KA CPDT-KSA

Brad isn’t just a dog trainer. He’s a consummate professional working in the heart of the dog-training field. Brad serves as President of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, author’s articles on dog training and behavior for key training journals, and regularly appears on television and radio to share his expertise.

But his favorite thing is using his 13 years of experience to help make his clients’ lives a little easier by making time with their dogs more enjoyable and rewarding. Along with experience, Brad brings a great sense of humor to this work, and an understanding that all of our lives are busy. He looks for the most efficient, effective ways to help clients meet their training goals, with the least impact possible on clients’ schedules.

Brad began his career in 2001 as the Director of Animal Behavior Programs for the Humane Society of Indianapolis. In an effort to build the interdisciplinary relationship between dog trainers and veterinarians, Brad joined the Broad Ripple Animal Clinic & Wellness Center in 2007. He is also the creative mind behind Bark Tutor School for Dogs, an innovative dog-training center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Today Brad focuses on his private training work through Bradley Phifer Dog Training, offering basic obedience and behavior consults in clients’ homes and private board and train programs in his own home. Brad also continues to enjoy his role as an AKC dog show handler, and breeding and raising Basenjis.

Brenda Tassava, CVPM, CVJ

Brenda Tassava is an artist turned management consultant, so she’s always looking at things from a unique and creative perspective. She brings more than 18 years of practical veterinary business experience to her practice consults. The author of the book, Social Media for Veterinary Professionals, and an experienced leader who has taken practices to award-winning levels of recognition when it comes to workplace culture, Brenda approaches consulting in a “whole-istic” manner. She believes that when you invest in great people and paint a vision for them to work towards, prosperity and profitability are natural outcomes.

A certified veterinary practice manager since 2004, and a certified veterinary journalist since 2011, Brenda Tassava is an active member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA), VetPartners, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and the American Society of Veterinary Journalists (ASVJ). She served as a volunteer board member on the CVPM board of directors for more than six years, and is a co-founding member of the Veterinary Management Association of Indiana.

When Brenda’s not busy lecturing and visiting practices all over North America, you’ll find her in her art studio, painting and chatting away with Eowyn, her African Grey parrot.
